 The versatile Rosma Vidal of Upper Salisbury contested the Miss Salisbury junior pageant in 1992 whilst attending the Salisbury Government School. 10 year old Rosma emerged on top amidst nine contestants, securing the awards for the best speech and best evening wear. Aileen Royer and Niver Phillip won the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up positions respectively.
This was not the last of pageantry for Rosma. 11 years after, she was called to a bigger stage. This time the 2004 National Miss Wob Dwiyet Pageant which features a young lady from the South-western, North-eastern, Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western districts of Dominica. Rosma was Miss West. She won that pageant and copped the best talent award. She was then a member of the National Sisserou Singers. Presently, she is the Parish Youth Ministry Team Coordinator at the Salisbury Roman Catholic Church where she enjoys evangelising to the youth. Rosma is currently an employee of the Scotia Bank of Dominica.
